Attorneys
Stephen R. Wise - Retired
Stephen Wise’s practice is concentrated in commercial real estate, business transactions, land use law, and business enterprises. Mr. Wise has provided legal representation to dozens of commercial lending institutions at the local, regional, and national level, with extensive experience in negotiating and closing commercial real estate transactions.
Mr. Wise also provides legal counsel to a substantial number of real estate developers in matters of acquisitions, sales, licensing, franchise compliance, financing and landlord/tenant issues. He represents and assists banks and lending institutions with foreclosures, forbearances, and loan work out matters, and has defended in lender liability lawsuits in both State and Federal Courts.
A member of the Knoxville Bar Association, the Tennessee State Bar Association and the American Bar Association, Mr. Wise earned his JD Degree from the University of Tennessee in 1978, and a LLB International Law from Cambridge University in 1981.
In addition to professional endeavors, Mr. Wise has served in leadership positions with a number of non-profit and community based organization, including the Central Business Improvement District (CBID) for Knoxville, the Boys & Girls Club of the Tennessee Valley and the Knox County Library Foundation.
In 2021, Mr. Wise retired from the practice of law to spend more time with his wife and grandkids.
William A. Reeves
Bill Reeves is an experienced and qualified litigation and business attorney, whose practice areas include trials and alternate dispute resolution cases in State and Federal Courts. His clients include business owners and individuals who expect efficient and effective solutions to a variety of legal problems.
Mr. Reeves’ experience includes representation in construction and contract disputes, probate and conservatorship administration, real estate, contested matters, and general civil practice, including real estate, landlord-tenant, and appellate cases.
Mr. Reeves is a native of Anderson County, and graduated from the University of Tennessee (Political Science, History and German) and the Cecil Humphries School of Law at the University of Memphis. He has provided representation in numerous published and unpublished appellate cases, and has participated in seminars as a presenter on construction law, Conservatorships, and other topics. He maintains memberships in the Tennessee Bar Association, the Knoxville Bar Association, and the Hamilton Burnett Inn of Court.
